Good Homes Alliance: The Home Quality Mark - Introduction, Feedback & Workshop
Wed 15 Jul 2015
12:30pm - 19:30pm
Minerva House, 5 Montague Close, London SE1 9BB
The Code for Sustainable Homes has now effectively been scrapped and BRE launched its replacement at Ecobuild 2015 - The Home Quality Mark (HQM). This is a more broadly-based standard with a wider range of indicators and will be voluntary. The purpose of this event is to get a good understanding of HQM, its indicators and how it will operate.
The Good Homes Alliance’s developer member Joseph Rowntree plan to trial the HQM and they will feedback on their initial thoughts on it. GHA will present their performance gap work and VoiceBox, setting out they feel HQM should address building performance but also community participation as core elements of a housing standard. There will be a presentation of research work commissioned by RICS Trust on the housing standards review, followed by discussion and then a workshop focused on the proposed HQM indicators.
This event is free to attend for all members of the GHA.
Non-members are most welcome at the modest cost of £75+VAT.
