Seminar: Multi-Academy Groups

Thu 03 Nov 2011

Time: 10am Registration – 10.30am Start – 12.30pm Lunch and networking

Minerva House, 5 Montague Close, London

There has been a huge growth and interest in multi academy structures over the last year as schools become more familiar and comfortable with the implications of being an academy. The DFE is keen to encourage schools to work collaboratively and may even force the use of a multi academy trust to address performance concerns. This seminar will look at each of three collaborative models; multi academy trusts, umbrella trusts and collaborative partnerships. We will explain the advantages and disadvantages of each and consider the alternatives. The seminar will look at a case study and explain how to develop an effective Scheme of Delegation between the Board of Directors and the Local Governing Bodies.
