As the DFE's capital strategy emerges, this seminar will look at policy objectives and funding criteria. We will explore what is needed for an effective estate management strategy and the use of capital reserves. The seminar will address issues emerging from condition surveys and will look more generally at the responsibilities of schools as land owners and occupiers. We will also look at the DFE's approach to the use of PFI as a capital funding model and how the new capital programme will be delivered.
