Planning authorities are requiring community schemes more than ever and many schemes have already been built.
Winckworth Sherwood and ENER-G are providing a series of three breakfast seminars on getting the most out of community energy schemes. Each of the sessions (held in June, September and October) will cover a different stage of the project: the major strategic decisions prior to the development, issues arising at the development and construction stage and finishing with tackling issues at management phase, both best practice and problem solving.
The third session 'issues arising in the management phase' will be held on Tuesday 8 October and will cover the operation and management issues such as: fuel purchase, billing, service charges renewals:
- Plugging the gaps for service contracts that were not negotiated during the development stage
- Fuel purchase
- The operations agreements that flow after construction such as the ONM agreement, the metering and billing, maintenance, pre-payment and residential liaison
- Operating within the requirements of the landlord and tenant legislation relating to provision and payment for services
