We are currently advising Dimensions (UK) Limited on a tripartite configuration exercise in relation to a portfolio of properties in Sheffield. 

The units were originally acquired by the Association with grant from the local health authority, and were refurbished to provide accommodation for those with learning and support needs.

As a result of changes to health and social care practice, a number of units have been decanted and sold, with the proceeds being used for further modernisation works.

We have dealt with may complexities on this matter, including the consultation required of all stakeholders in the project, including:

  • The Homes and Communities Agency for consents to disposal
  • Residents and their carers and/or families required to vacate the units
  • Other stakeholders (Sheffield City Council and the NHS Property Services Limited) who are funding (via a cross subsidy arrangement) the future project

Many factors including the number of interested parties in the project, the need to ensure minimum disruption to the residents whilst balancing works contracts, timing of planning consents and financing arrangements, has added to the importance of the deal.
