Winckworth Sherwood expands real estate capability with hire of new residential property partner

Wed 10 Feb 2010

Law firm Winckworth Sherwood is pleased to announce that Yasmin Uddin has joined the firm as a partner on 10th February 2010. She was previously at Manches where she led the Residential Property Team.

Yasmin has experience across all aspects of residential property work including high value acquisitions and disposals of prime London property for UK and overseas investors as well as managing volume transactions for housing associations and national house-builders. Yasmin's clients have included Barratt, Laing O'Rourke, Workspace Glebe, Hyde Vale and Hyde Housing Association and The Urban Splash Group.

Yasmin's appointment is part of Winckworth Sherwood's strategy to expand its real estate capability to support both private and public sector clients as the property market moves out of recession. It follows the appointment in January 2010 of specialist property partner Charlie Proddow to the firm's housing and regeneration department.

Commenting on the new appointment, Winckworth Sherwood managing partner Roger Fitton said: "We are delighted to welcome Yasmin to the firm. Real estate is a key area of growth for us and Yasmin's experience and contacts will add considerable value for our major developer, house builder and private clients, where she will help us expand the breadth of our services."
