Law firm Winckworth Sherwood has announced that Simon Randall CBE and Joanna Bussell will join the firm from city law firm LG. Simon joins on 1 May with Joanna later in the summer.
Simon Randall CBE joins the firm as a consultant and is recognised as one of the leading local government and social housing lawyers in the UK. He is ranked in Band 1 in the key legal directories and is described as “very knowledgeable in acting for local authorities” and is described by the Chambers Guide as “very knowledgeable in acting for RSLs and local authorities” and “exceptionally bright, energetic and positive”.
Simon has had a long career both as an elected member of London Borough of Bromley and has advised ministers and MPs on housing and local government issues. He was awarded his CBE in 1991 for services to housing and local government in London.
