Winckworth Sherwood, London First and Terence O’Rourke have today published a thought-provoking new report called ‘Estate Regeneration – More and better homes for London’.
London’s challenge is to build a minimum of 49,000 homes a year, but this daunting target requires action on multiple fronts. Complex redevelopment opportunities such as Estate Regeneration can play a key part. Where existing estates are in a poor condition and require physical regeneration via demolition and rebuild, better design and use of space can lead to more and better homes. Existing estates may also have potential for infill development.
Download a copy of the report below, which explores key issues around community engagement, making the right offer for residents, procurement and contracts as well as making recommendations we hope will drive forward this important regeneration opportunity.
