Law firm Winckworth Sherwood has advised London accountants Blick Rothenberg on the disposal of its current Regent’s Park offices in anticipation of its move to new and larger premises in Covent Garden.
Winckworth Sherwood Commercial Property partner Richard Perkins advised the partners of Blick Rothenberg, the leasehold owners of offices at 12 York Gate, Regents Park, NW1, on the sale of their interests to Kirsh Group. The sale was completed in early October 2012.
Commenting on the sale, Richard Perkins said: “I have represented Blick Rothenberg for more than a decade. This transaction started back in February whilst I was at Reed Smith and I am delighted that they have followed me to Winckworth Sherwood and that we have been able to see the sale through.
“There were some tricky aspects in terms of guarantees, timing and conditionality which had to be addressed in order to synchronise the sale with the anticipated timetable for Blick Rothenberg’s move to their new premises whilst at the same time providing as much flexibility as possible so as to ensure that the sale could still happen even if their move were delayed.”
Blick Rothenberg senior partner, Bob Rothenberg, said: “Our new larger premises will allow us to accommodate the continued growth of our businesses in one central London location. The office will provide a better working environment for our staff, with improved meeting and seminar facilities and IT infrastructure. Richard and his team at Winckworth Sherwood helped us all the way and made the legal process of disposing of our existing premises as smooth as possible.”
Charles Horsfield and Catriona Berman at Macfarlanes represented Kirsh Group.
