James Mackay and Andrew Bedford take part in Cycle to MIPIM 2017

For the last 11 years and as a precursor to the annual pilgrimage to MIPIM in Cannes, the world’s largest Real Estate Conference, a number of professionals within the property industry embark upon a unique organised charity cycle ride from Central London to Cannes (approximately 1,000 miles) in six days, arriving on the opening day of the conference in aid of the Children’s charity, Coram.

James Mackay and Andrew Bedford, Partners in Winckworth Sherwood’s Real Estate team, will be participating in this years Cycle to MIPIM raising money for Coram, the UK’s oldest and first children’s charity providing life-changing services to over 1.2 million vulnerable children and young people every year. In addition, the monies raised from the ride will also provide support to the following charities:

  • Tom’s Trust,
  • Emthonjeni Trust,
  • Article 25; and
  • Multiple System Atrophy Trust.

Speaking of the event, James Mackay commented: “I’m pleased to be taking part in Cycle to MIPIM 2017.  I entered to raise money for a very worthwhile cause, to meet people and for the challenge of the cycle itself.  Not to mention it’s the only way I'll get to visit the south of France this year…!

Andrew Bedford added: "I'm delighted to be taking part in this ride to MIPIM. It is a challenging event, a lot of miles and hours on a bike saddle -which is not the most comforting way of spending 6 days! It is however  one I am looking forward to, particularly in helping to  raise money for a great cause such as Coram."
