This week, Winckworth Sherwood were proud to lend support on the first anniversary of Pennies - The Electronic Charity Box at an exclusive Breakfast event hosted at the BAFTA Headquarters in Piccadilly, London.
Pennies is designed to make giving to charity easy, quick and affordable through micro-donation. It’s new, inclusive and will raise additional money for many UK registered charities. With one touch of a button shoppers can choose to donate a few pennies in private when they pay by debit card, credit card or electronically. It is just one button on the Chip and PIN machine in-store, or one click of the mouse online. Organisations currently participating include Domino's Pizza, Screwfix and Shelter, with many more to follow.
As a highly individual law firm, this concept appeals greatly to Winckworth Sherwood and we were delighted to attend the event as Pennies goes from strength to strength. Partners Jo Keddie and Richard Tinham, along with solicitor James Oxley, attended to show their support and celebrate the first anniversary.
