A regeneration project in Rainham has been commended by the London Development Agency (LDA).
The LDA has just completed two new land deals at Beam Reach 8 with Wincanton Data Records Management and MJF Data Management.
Wincanton is planning to expand its existing facility in the area, while MJF hopes to develop a 30,000 sq ft building on the site.
Steven Kidd, head of development at the LDA, said the deals show how Beam Reach has been an "outstanding success" in bringing lots of new jobs to the area.
He added that the LDA has been using its land in Rainham to attract new and growing businesses and promote the area's regeneration.
The construction work has already been commenced by the LDA's development partner Easter Group and both projects should be completed before the end of the year.
This comes after the Lea River Park project, which formed part of plans to regenerate the Lower Lea Valley in London, won the International Urban Landscape Silver Award.
Roger Fitton, a partner at Winckworth Sherwood Solicitors, noted that in his experience, the LDA have worked with developers of all sorts in a very constructive manner to keep regeneration projects moving forwards during the recession.
