Position: Solicitor

Core Areas: Employment

Vidhya deals with all aspects of employment law and HR issues. She represents both employers and employees in employment tribunal proceedings including unfair dismissal and discrimination claims and the negotiation of commercial settlements. She advises on commercial transactions and TUPE issues including both asset and share sale and purchase agreements, managing terminations including disciplinary and grievance procedures and negotiating compromise agreements. Advising on large-scale business reorganisations and redundancies (including collective redundancies). Preparing employment contracts and handbooks and advising on the application and enforceability of restrictive covenants.

Recent experience

  • Advising an RSL on an outsourcing agreement and the application and implications of TUPE.
  • Advising on and negotiating an employment agreement and equity raising bonus plan for a director of a major international property group.
  • Advising a local authority on redundancy and TUPE issues as a result of a closure of a number of facilities.
  • Preparing staff handbook and contracts of employment for a national accountancy firm.
