Alison Perera
Position: Solicitor
Alison is a solicitor in the Housing and Regeneration Department. She currently advises schools and diocesan boards on a range of property matters and in particular in relation to the land aspects of BSF projects and academy conversions.
Alison has a wide range of property experience which includes advising various clients on legal issues including site acquisitions, disposals, deeds of easement, transfer of land between RSLs, charging of property assets to security trustees and residential leases.
Recent experience
- Advising dioceses and school governing bodies on land aspects of BSF projects
- Advising dioceses and school governing bodies on land aspects of the conversion of schools to academies
- Involved in the charging of large RSL groups’ property assets to a security trustee
- Providing property advice to RSLs in relation to the transfer of care homes
- Acquisitions of large portfolios of freehold reversions for portfolio management companies
