Colette is Partner within our Environmental Planning team and specialises in a wide range of planning work including:
- strategic planning advice
- s106 negotiations and other statutory planning
- highways agreements
- CPO
- EIA
- preparing cases to public inquiry and rights of way
- town and village green objections
Recent experience
She has particular experience advising on all aspects of compulsory purchase legislation including CPOs for energy clients under the Gas and Electricity Acts and is currently advising a number of energy clients on the effects of the new Infrastructure Planning Commissions.
Colette has particular experience of advising on a number of environmental and planning issues, including:
- numerous residential schemes including a 3000 unit scheme in Oxfordshire for a house builder consortium and RAF Porters Way for St George in London
- tall building schemes for example Vauxhall Tower for St George and a 20-storey tower for the Aitch Group in Tower Hamlets (secured on appeal) and others considered tall relative to their context and the EH/CABE guidance
- schemes affecting sensitive heritage designations including the Trad site for Aitch Group at Bromley by Bow involving conservation area designations and the effect on the setting of a Grade ll listed mill, Royal Clarence Yard for Berkeley Homes for a major marina and mixed use waterfront scheme in Gosford, Hants involving the conversion of listed buildings
