Theresa Kerr

Position: Solicitor

Theresa specialises in the education sector, advising schools on converting to Academy status and providing post-conversion support to Academies on a range of issues including exclusions and admissions, employment, company law and governance and contracts.  She also has experience advising on property transactions and contentious matters.

Recent experience

  • Coordinating the Winckworth Sherwood School Support Service and responding to a range of legal queries relating to the education sector
  • Acting for schools on the Academy conversion process, including negotiating key documents with the Department for Education and local authorities
  • Acting on a complex land registration exercise as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme
