Position: Solicitor

Victoria is a solicitor in the Private Client department. She specialises in the administration of estates (which is also referred to as probate work); wills, trusts and work connected with general financial planning for individuals and families which includes giving advice on lasting powers of attorney and their registration with the Office of the Public Guardian.

Recent experience

  • Administration of estates of varying sizes including estates where the deceased died domiciled outside the UK
  • Application to the Attorney General (via the Treasury Solicitor's Office) for a Royal Sign Manual Direction in a matter where the charitable residuary beneficiary in a home-made will was described incorrectly
  • Advising on and completion of lasting Power of Attorney including applications to register both Lasting Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Attorney, with the office of the Public Guardian and advising attorneys
  • General advice on and drafting of wills
  • Liaising with Scottish lawyers in cases where estates included land situated in Scotland
  • Liaising with notaries and lawyers in countries outside the UK in estates where the deceased held non-UK assets
